Keyboard rollover test
Press and hold several letter or number keys together. BenchRush shows the currently held keys and the highest simultaneous count seen in this run.
Simultaneous key check
Use practical combinations. Browser/OS shortcuts may be intercepted before the page sees them.
Use the result as a baseline, not a diagnosis
BenchRush measures browser-visible input. If a result looks wrong, repeat the run, check focus and settings, compare another browser/device where practical, and use manufacturer diagnostics for hardware conclusions.
How to interpret a rollover result
A browser can confirm the combination it received, but it cannot certify the keyboard matrix or every possible key combination.
Questions people ask
What is keyboard rollover?
Rollover describes how many simultaneous key presses a keyboard can report reliably. Marketing labels and real key combinations are not always the same thing, so testing the combinations you actually use is useful.
Is missing a key always ghosting?
No. The operating system or browser can intercept some keys, and shortcut combinations can behave differently. Repeat the same combination with ordinary letter and number keys before drawing a hardware conclusion.
Does this test prove N-key rollover?
No. A browser can only show the key events it receives. It is useful for practical combinations, not as a certification of the keyboard electronics.
