Display test

Screen & dead-pixel visual test

Use full-screen solid colors to look for pixels that stay dark, bright or the wrong color. This is a manual visual check — BenchRush does not claim to detect pixels automatically.

Solid-color inspection

Choose a color, then inspect the full display.

Manual visual check only. Clean the screen first, then inspect several colors.

Use the result as a baseline, not a diagnosis

BenchRush measures browser-visible input. If a result looks wrong, repeat the run, check focus and settings, compare another browser/device where practical, and use manufacturer diagnostics for hardware conclusions.

Interpret the result

This screen test is deliberately visual

A normal webpage cannot inspect the physical panel. Solid colors make manual inspection easier without pretending JavaScript can see dead pixels.

Questions people ask

Can a website automatically detect dead pixels?

Not reliably from a normal webpage without imaging the physical display. BenchRush instead gives you clean solid-color fields so you can inspect the panel yourself.

Which colors should I check?

White and black help reveal stuck-bright or stuck-dark spots; red, green and blue can reveal subpixel color problems.

Will browser UI affect the test?

Use the Full screen button when available and inspect several colors. Browser scaling, panel coatings and dirt on the screen can also look like pixel defects, so clean the display first.
